I highly recommend seeing Tonya for your skin care needs. She has the kindest disposition - always greets you with a welcoming smile and a gentle handshake. Before you know it, you will feel like you are the most important person in the world! She creates a soothing atmosphere with low lighting and relaxing music. Once you settle in, she'll give you a quick skin analysis and before you know it, the gentle cleansing and massage begins. The massage is "to die for"! Her hands are just amazing. If you are anything like me, you will fall asleep and wake up 60 minutes later when it's time to go home. My skin continues to look healthy for weeks after each appointment, and unlike facials of the past, I have never broken out under Tonya's care. So, treat yourself to this amazing experience. You deserve it!
Hands down the best salon in the city for waxing! Katie is amazing and calm and friendly and she does everything she can to make it a nice experience - not stressful, calm and relaxing and it doesn't hurt nearly as much as other places I've been in the past. The prices are very reasonable as well. I can actually afford to spoil myself at Studio Within .... spread the word!!!!
Studio Within is warm, welcoming, and unpretentious. That being said, Kristy, my new fave stylist, knows how to cut hair. I had butchered my bangs prior to seeing her and felt kind of humiliated on my way in. Kristy and I immediately started laughing and she made me feel totally unembarrassed and she quickly came up with a solution. Kristy and I chatted throughout the haircut and even though I don't always feel comfortable chatting, I really wanted to chat with Kristy. She made the experience fun! So, if you are shy, have a terrible haircut, and/or have had generally bad stylist experiences, I urge you to go to Studio Within. As an aside, all the other customers going out looked great. So, I'm pretty confident that the other stylists do an equally excellent job.
If you think you need a massage, know you need one, never had one ... GET ONE HERE! Trust me! This had to be the best massage I've ever had. I got a gift certificate for it and hadn't heard of this place prior to it, and don't want to go anywhere else now! It's absolutely amazing! And since Christmas is coming up, it's not a bad gift idea either.

I've been going to Studio Within for wax, massage, mani and pedi's for the past 5 years. This place is fantastic. Everyone is very professional and nice and does such a good job. Katie does a great job waxing and I hear from friends her facials are also really good. I can't say enough good things about Julie and Christine - the massage therapists. My husband and I both go to them a few times each year and are never disappointed. I recently had a prenatal massage from Julie and was blown away with how much better she was then other places. She has these special pillows that allow you to lie on your stomach even when you're pregnant. It made a huge difference and I really felt like she could work out all the problems in my back.
I went to see Tonya for a facial. She was very friendly and it was the most FABULOUS facial ever. I loved everything about it. I really liked that she educated me on what I needed done and why and what I needed to do to keep my skin looking its best. It was just fabulous. I cant say that enough. I also got my eyebrows waxed and my eyelashes tinted. All of which she did a great job. I highly recommend trying her. Once you do you will not go anywhere else.
Kristy is by far the best hair stylist in Chicago. Not only are her cuts classy, they last. With other stylists, the cut may look fine for one week, but you'll regret it in two. Kristy's cuts last for weeks--both rakish and economical. Beside the cut, she's fun. I always look forward to our convos. Highly recommend her.
My sister Beth and I have been clients of John's since 1992, we have followed him throughout his career, or as long as we have been in Chicago. Our hair color is very natural looking and the health of our hair is incredible. It is only a fantastic colorist and a person with such a great personality that clients would travel from where ever to see.
John has been doing my color for over ten years and he is terrific! He really listens, offers suggestions, executes flawlessly and makes each experience relaxing and fun. When my daughter moved here several years ago, she immediately became another delighted, loyal client. Without any hesitation, we have both recommended John to many of our friends. The quality and professionalism of his service make all of us go back again and again!
My boyfriend went to Kristy for a haircut last week- wow! She is amazing. I would highly recommend any guy who wants a great look to go to Kristy - she rocks.
John Lusk is an outstanding colorist at Studio Within. I have been going to John for about 7 years. John has taken care of my color with thoughtful skill and attention to my desires. He doesn't impose his views but does give honest feedback and pays a lot of attention to detail. He is both creative and pragmatic - which is rare in his field. He is easy to work with and flexible about scheduling. I trust his judgment and will happily continue using his excellent services.
This place was awesome. I took my husband to Chicago for a birthday get away, and this place was superb. They were very nice and courteous. We both had massages and it was awesome. My husband had a spa manicure and pedicure, he absolutely loved it. This place was great and extremely hospitable. I would recommend this place to anyone.
As a first time waxie, I was really nervous about the whole experience. Katie was absolutely awesome, put me totally at ease, and made the entire thing as painless as possible. The space doesn't intimidate and is really soothing. I will DEFINITELY go back there again!
